2025-2026 IMPACT REPORT

Vickery Herrera Center

“And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news.’” — Romans 10:15

PCBC has faithfully served the Vickery community for many years. Today, God is opening new doors to proclaim the gospel among these diverse neighborhoods, representing many nations, cultures and languages.

Our mission is to faithfully proclaim Christ, disciple new believers and serve the community with the love of Jesus.

Through evangelism, discipleship groups, compassion ministries and church gatherings, we are seeing God transform lives and raise up new servants who are committed to following Christ and sharing his message with others. We are grateful for the partnership, prayers and support of our church as we continue this work so that all generations and all nations may love Jesus.

The Vickery Herrera Center thanks everyone for their donations of clothing and household items this past year. Because of your generosity, we have been able to bless refugee families who have recently arrived in the United States. Many of these families arrive with very few belongings, and through your gifts, we have been able to provide essentials such as plates, utensils, towels and other basic household needs. These acts of generosity are a tangible expression of the love of Christ to our community.

Many of the refugees we serve come from different cultural backgrounds, including Muslim families who do not yet know Christ. We pray that through these acts of compassion, relationships will be built and that God will open doors for hearts to receive the gospel, so that all nations may love Jesus Christ.

May the Lord bless you abundantly. Thank you for your prayers and faithful support. May the Lord continue to raise up people who are willing to proclaim the gospel: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news” (Romans 10:15).

The Transforming Power of God

MARÍA'S STORY

María first came to a service at the Vickery Herrera Center with severe pain in her foot. After Pastor Alejandro and the church members prayed for her, God completely removed her pain — a powerful reminder that he continues to work in miraculous ways.

From that moment, María began faithfully attending church at Vickery. Today, she serves on the PCBC Vickery worship team, participates in a discipleship group called “Doctrines,” and was recently baptized.

María is an example of someone who chose to follow Christ and continues to grow, serve and stay connected in community. Her life is a testimony to the transforming power of God.

Generational Faithfulness

THE ESTRELLA FAMILY

The Estrella family is a beautiful reflection of the light of Christ in the Vickery community across generations. Carlos and Edi Estrella have served in the PCBC Spanish Language Ministries for many years, faithfully leading and volunteering on the worship team while balancing long work hours.

What is especially meaningful is seeing that same love for Christ carried into the next generation. Their children, Carlos Jr. and Criss — who were once taught in Sunday school by Miss Terri — are now serving as Sunday school teachers at PCBC Vickery.

Their story is a powerful picture of generational faithfulness, as the light of Christ continues to shine so that all generations may love Jesus!

In December 2025, three Connect Groups came together to bless the Vickery community at the Posada Christmas Celebration.

A total of 505 people attended the event, 320 gifts were given to children, and families gathered to share food, sing Christmas songs and enjoy the celebration of the Christmas season. Nine nationalities and cultures were represented, each hearing the story of the birth of our Savior. We pray that the seed of the gospel planted that day will continue to grow in their hearts.

PCBC Bachman Lake

Genoveva attended a Bible study group at PCBC Bachman Lake, and we later learned that she had been separated from God for many years. During one activity, each person was asked to spend 10 minutes alone with God, without phones or distractions. When she returned, her expression had changed — her eyes reflected the light of God. She had an encounter with the Lord. Now she is attending church and participating in a discipleship group. God has worked in her life in a powerful way.

After participating in a discipleship group, Eduardo Cruz and his son chose to be baptized. They were the first people baptized at Bachman Lake and are now committed to sharing the love of Christ with others. Eduardo's wife, Claudia, is also a testimony of God’s work. For more than two years, she has been part of the Bachman Lake Connect Group in partnership with Buckner. Her love for Jesus, her care for her family and her desire to know and share God’s Word continue to encourage those around her as we carry out the work of making disciples.

Pastor José Wing and his wife, Ana, are faithfully leading ministry at PCBC–Bachman Lake. They are committed to teaching doctrine classes, leading services and investing in the Thursday discipleship group. Their love for the community is drawing more people to gather. Attendance has grown from 20 to 40 people on Sunday mornings.

We continue to pray for them and for those who will continue to join the church at PCBC Bachman Lake!

;

But if anyone has this world's goods and sees a brother or sister in need, yet closes his heart to him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or deed, but in truth.

JOHN 3:17-18
