Campus Updates

Across the decades, Park Cities Baptist Church has responded to the call of ministry in our community through the beautiful campus we call home. Our first buildings, opened in 1950, were the Pleitz and Reed buildings. Our last construction was the Great Hall building, which opened in 2006. Each of the buildings entrusted to us represents the legacy of those who have gone before us.
It is our turn to extend these buildings into the 21st century! Beginning in the last decade, we've invested in our Preschool and Kids ministries with thoughtful renovations that provided new, safe gathering spaces for our children. We have reimagined the Pleitz building spaces for elementary and renovated the Pit in the Activities building for Student Ministry. Our Sanctuary has been refreshed, preserving the beauty of the room while installing state-of-the-art audio/visual experiences for the current age — and it is a place where we can gather as one church for worship, concerts, and more. Most recently, we have undertaken the Columbarium and Memorial Garden as a statement of ongoing care for our church family.
As beautiful as they are, the age of our facilities requires continued investment in their functionality to meet the needs of our growing community. On June 2, 2024, the church approved three Capital Projects: the Memorial Garden, Sanctuary Refresh, and a program for attending to our facilities’ growing deferred maintenance needs.
How we care for our facilities is an important aspect of our stewardship as a church family — as we seek to reach our community for generations to come.

Campus Care Project
The Campus Care Project is a plan to provide needed improvements, additions, and repairs to our existing facilities, so that it serves as the heart of ministry and community in our neighborhood for generations to come.

Columbarium and Memorial Garden
The PCBC Columbarium will provide a beautiful, lasting space for reflection, prayer, and remembrance. Designed within a gated entry that includes a memorial garden, fountain, and seating areas, this sacred place will offer a quiet place of comfort to families and loved ones.

Sanctuary Refresh
JUNE-OCTOBER 2024
Our Sanctuary Refresh addressed architecturally sensitive updates to:
- Extend the stage area for the safety of musicians and speakers.
- Reconfigure the choir loft to achieve the best sound projection and allow for growth.
- Upgrade floor coverings for the Sanctuary main level.
- Enhance audio and visual support (sound, screens, lighting) for worship services and events.
We celebrated with our first worship service in this beautiful new space on November 3, 2024 as part of our 85th anniversary!
