Worship and Music: Praising God as One Church Family
Whenever and wherever we gather for worship at PCBC, our purpose is to exalt God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit in unity as a church family. We are grateful for the opportunity to offer varied worship expressions in spaces across our church – from intimate to modern to traditional – so that all who join with us are drawn closer to Christ.

This past ministry year our Sanctuary and Chapel worship venues witnessed constant reminders that our gracious and generous God desires to continually pour out His Spirit upon us.
After a triumphant 2024 Lenten and Easter season, we witnessed together God's divine provision as we moved all our traditional services exclusively into Ellis Chapel while our grand Sanctuary underwent a marvelous renewal. Countless ministry staff, lay leaders, and volunteers gave of themselves to assure that our traditional expressions of worship would continue to flourish during the relocation. The weekly gatherings in the Chapel were transformative as our church body moved Connect Group hours and locations to be together. All of it was honoring to God and unifying to our church family.
The glorious return to our beloved, refurbished sanctuary in November exceeded all our expectations. Advent and Christmas witnessed glorious worship and very memorable Majesty of Christmas presentations, which reached many guests. Our devoted Handbell Ministry served the surrounding community and, along with our Senior Adult Choir, The Notables, represented our church well.
In February, it was a privilege to conduct our Sanctuary Choir and other combined choirs at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. by invitation from the composers of "Saviour: A Modern Oratorio," for its 30th anniversary celebration performance. This timeless work has blessed our church on many occasions and has now reached into the greater community of Washington, D.C., with the gospel of Christ.
During this ministry year, our Sanctuary Choir added over 25 new singers and instrumentalists. Our Lord continues to lead us forward in anointed worship!

This has been a vibrant year of worship in the Great Hall!
It has been exciting to see our team grow and be discipled into the worship leaders God has called them to be. As a result, our services have reflected the deep and intentional desire to honor the Lord through corporate worship. I praise God for his abundant love for PCBC and our ability to thank him for that through our weekly worship offerings!
